2009 Champions of the Grill

On Sunday, September 20th, 2009 “The Wild Mustangs” from Sussex County Technical School competed in the Amateur Division of the Champion of the Grill competition. The team had spent the week before the cook-off to create two different barbeque sauces, dry rub for their meats and testing how they were going to present their dishes to the judges and people’s choice. SkillsUSA State Championships 2009 Medal Winners

On Friday, May 8th and Saturday, May 9th, students from our school competed in the SkillsUSA State Championships in Somerset County. 27 students from our school won medals for placing in the top 3 for their competitions, including 9 gold medalists. The gold medalists will be going to Kansas City, MO for the National Championships. Click here to see our medal winners.

Good Pay, Steady Work, Few Takers As Young People Spurn the Trades
